Contrary to what I’ve heard, egg salad is NOT just an old people sandwich for blue haired Granny’s (love you Granny!). Avocado’s are at peak freshness and taste during the Summer and I can’t find enough ways to use them. Subbing avocado’s for mayo kicks the flavor up several notches and adds healthy fats for gorgeous skin and a sexy body. While subbing lettuce for bread kicks the carbs to the curb! This basic recipe is one my Mom would make all the time to keep us crazy kids satisfied, with a few additions of mine of course.

Savory homemade quiches were a staple item in my grandparents house that I scarfed down at every opportunity. When I realized the amount of fat in a quiche’s buttery crust could make a beauty pageant contestant cry, I stopped eating them as often. Thankfully this recipe is just one of the many great ways to enjoy a quiche without the calorie heavy crust.
How many times have you looked in the pantry and thought “Ugh, I have nothing to quick to make!” Well when is comes to side dishes, couscous is one of the healthiest and easiest to prepare. It’s done in just a few minutes and can be zested up with spices, veggies, dried fruits or herbs to compliment any main dish OR you can add your favorite protein to stand alone as a main course. Here’s a healthy and tasty side dish version I cook up all the time.
A new study out in TIME claims that popcorn, a quick and easy snack favorite of mine, is packed with cancer fighting antioxidants and fiber, hooray! So naturally I wanted to share one of my favorite guilty pleasure recipes that Adrianna does so well. This treat is NOT for everyday consumption, but is a great treat from time to time. Popping it in a healthy oil, such as grape seed or peanut, on the stove is still the healthiest and most simple way to chow down. I try to avoid microwave popcorn at all costs…
Get to poppin’!
