With all the crazy misleading health claims on foods it can be so hard to know what’s are TRULY the most nutrient dense. Here’s a great list of the top eight healthiest foods in the WORLD!
1. Spirulina: While the thought of eating lake algae might gross you out, spirulina is actually pretty tasty, especially blended into a smoothie or hidden in a chocolate bar. It has more antioxidants than any other food on earth and is loaded with protein and minerals making it the most nutrient dense food.
2. Kale: According to Dr. Joel Fuhrman, kale is the most nutritious food, loaded with minerals, vitamins, fiber and amino acids, as well as important antioxidants that reduce inflammation and can prevent cancer. It’s also delicious and an easy to prepare, versatile food.
3. Hemp Seeds: What do you get when you combine protein, fiber, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins and minerals? Hemp, of course. This easily digestible seed is versatile, easy to use and extremely tasty, too.

Navigating the world of organics can be pricey and confusing to say the least. Knowing which fruits & veggies carry the most pesticide residue and which are less affected is KEY to shopping smart. I often hear that “everything we eat should be organic”, but who can really afford that all the time? Not I! The “Dirty Dozen” List:

Cleansing is SO hot this season and is a miracle cure, riiiiight?! Well who really knows… I’ve tried a raw juice cleanse and really enjoyed the benefits, but couldn’t help but wonder if they were more psychological than physical. By “accidentally” losing 10 lbs in nine days, I did realize I had ab muscles that I didn’t know existed, score! But my goal was more to feel better than I do on a daily basis, and that surely happened. I think cleanses are not the one key to overall health, but can be a great way to restart your body’s unhealthy cravings, detox, and loose a few lbs. in the process.

I’ve brought this in and out of my workout routine for years and I still think it’s one of the best full body workouts. Modify the exercises according to your fitness level; whether you lower the weight/reps or use assisted machines and always consult a professional before starting a new regimen.
